In case you didn't get the memo, it's Idle Free Awareness Week in our lovely state. So do your kiddo's lungs, the environment, and your pocketbook a favor and turn off your car when you pick them up from school! W and J's school friends started this last year and they are making another push again this year. Way to go!
I am so proud of the students at W's school. A handful of them decided to take on a very big project; educating parents to turn off their cars while waiting to pick up their kiddos. They have make big strides the past few weeks. I don't hear the cars running and best of all I don't SMELL the exhaust! Today I stumbled across a program called Idle Free Utah. It's a great site which provides a campaign toolkit for schools who want to implement this at their school. So to those making a difference one car at a time, you guys ROCK! Keep up the good work.
