Well it's the first day of Lent and so far so good. Ha ha!
When thinking of what to give up (sacrifice) or add (bettering myself) this year I decided to choose three things in moderation to better myself as a whole.
1. Consume only one sweet per week. For those of you who know me, this is huge since I'm lover of all things sweet. I hardly ever meet a dessert I don't like. BTW, I ate a slice of chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake (from Nothing Bundt Cakes) with cream cheese frosting at 1:30 this morning. I wanted to get my last bit of deliciousness in before the clock struck midnight. Technically I didn't make it so I'm still deciding if the chocolate chocolate chip bundt cake counted as my one sweet for this week.
2. Cut down on empty carbohydrates at dinner. Good-bye french fries...sniff, sniff...
3. Exercise at least one day a week. Again, those who know me, no need to go into this in detail.
As for The Boys? They chose to give up the Wii and W said he would work on not talking in class. This morning I suggested that they add getting ready for school without me yelling at them. Ah, wishful thinking...

Katherine, I love this post! How did you get the boys to even entertain giving something up? I cannot get my kids to do it. At least not willingly, which is what I want. Well, good luck! I'm off caffeine and sugar, but not a huge addict of either. 40 days and counting...Val
