Lunafest Film Festival

I'm so excited to be going to the Lunafest Film Festival tonight at the Tower Theatre to support my fabulous friend Kristen. Kristen belongs to a triathlon team called Luna Chix. They are an all women team whose main goal is to get women out and active. Part of their commitment is to hold a Lunafest Film festival. Lunafest was established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of the nutrition bars for women, to promote women filmmakers, raise awareness for women's issues, and support worthy women's nonprofit organizations.

There are 10 short films all by, for, and about women. The entire proceeds of Lunafest will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and SHIM, (a local organization promoting the connection of mind, body, and spirit for the purpose of creating a healing environment). If you are looking for something fun to do and support a great cause, come on down to the Tower Theatre (876 East 900 South) at 7:00 pm tonight.
